Guiding Questions:
What is Poetry?

Big Learning Targets:
1.0 I can evaluate the extent to which industrialization benefits societies by analyzing evidence from a variety of sources.

Supporting Learning Targets:
1.2 I can compare and contrast pre-industrial and post- industrial societies.

First, as always we need to do the Do Now. In the Do now we had 2 questions. The first was asking How does the Lorax portray pre-industrial societies? Use at least two pieces of textual evidence.  For the second question is was asking, What was pre-industrial society actually like? Do you agree with Dr.Seuss' portrayal of industrial society? Explain your opinion. After finishing we shared with the people that were in our side. After sharing our answers with our partners some people shared with the entire class. After doing that we needed to choose a quote from the reading from yesterday or from The Lorax. Later, we did the socrative quiz.

Marcos and Brito working hard and Raj observing the group
After, 2 minutes we flipped our Do Now, in the paper there was Peer Observation Form. This paper is when someone from another group goes to your group to see if you are Actively Listening, Asking and Answering Clarifying Questions, and Citing Textual Evidence. In the discussion the observer can't talk. We have just started the Lit Circle #2. The observers were, Baltasar, Raj, Gabriel, and Takuma. I heard Catalina asking, "Why did the policeman pick up on Gopal's family not other
people around them, because there are millions of people but they just picked on them?" When the conversations finished, the observers gave warm feedback and they tried to help them with suggestions.
We needed to debrief about the discussion they just had. Ms. Vallillo is explaining us what we are going to do now. We are going to do a tableaux. After finishing our Tableaux we were dismissed.

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!! NO HOMEWORK
