       Today the do now was about gisting, some questions were which gist is better. Gist 1: people came to china to convert the Chinese to Christianity. and Gist 2: Many foreigners, coming to China for different reasons, were feared by the Chinese.  Which is better and why? Right now we are answering some questions about what is gisting and how would we use it.
     Now the students met and talked about why does gisting help readers make meaning of a test and why? We received a paper that we have to act and not tell the person what character we are and its just a little bit of the character of the book we didn't start yet. Currently we have 8 minutes to walk around and introduce yourself as the character.
   Finally, we will start reading Ties That Bind, Ties That Break and we will gist all over the book.

           Homework: Finish the book's prologue and add 1-2 !
