Overview of the Day Class Scribe

     Overview of the Day:
Today we started to learn about poverty and how it was bad, we also learned that many people were descriminated in the 1900's.  In the gallery walk students got a chance to decover better what and how people were discriminated. This gallery helped us understand how bad it was to be black at that time because people treated you really badly. In this Gallery Walk there was a really big list of black people who were killed on June 16th 1976.  In this class we also learned how to make a poplet on the Soweto Uprising which was on June 16, 1976.

Working hard on do now.

  1. I liked how the pictures are clear and show what we did in class today. An interesting thing I learned in class today was about segregation. We had a gallery walk and looked at the pictures of different types of segregation. We also even saw how many people were killed. For an example: a lady was shot and killed just because she was throwing rocks at the police.

  2. Thomas, I liked the way you actually described what you learned today and not just what we did in class and what that had to do with the Soweto Uprising. I also liked how many pictures you added to show how we related our learning targets to the popplet and the gallery walk we did today. You did really great as the class scribe today!

  3. Thomas, I liked how you described and took pictures about what we were learning. I think that you did a really good job writing and you were telling what happened on that day. You did such a good job giving examples about what happened on that date. I think that you did a very good job being the scribe today. Keep up the good work.

  4. Thomas,
How did you know that all the people on that list were black? (they probably were, but still). Otherwise, I like how you put a lot of pictures that show us, students, working. Nice job, and keep up the good and nice photos!

  6. Thomas,
I really liked your post, it tells me specifically about what the assignment was for today. But I do agree with Alyssa. I do think that you shouldn't be a 100 percent sure about the people on the list being black. This kind of shows me that you took this work seriously. If I would name a core value for the work that you did, it would be the core value, Risk-Taker because I think that it might have been hard for you to do the blog right away. Since you are the first scribe it might have been challenging for you to think and plan out the format. Good Job!

  7. Thomas,
I liked your pictures and I think that they focused a lot in all of our goals today. It was like a "summary" of our class. All of them were great especially the two handsome gentlemen in the last picture. Anyway, I agree with Alyssa and with Peter that it is really likely that the people on the list were black but maybe not all of them. Maybe a cop was killed or reported missing as many people were. I also think that the way that you described our day was great. I also think that a great core value would be Risk-Taker and Reflective because it was kind of a risk to pick the right pictures and you were very reflective about our day today. I think that the word choice you used was great in describing the discrimination and all of that stuff. Overall I think that your post today was really good and reflective and you are a great scribe that takes the work seriously and you do it the right way. Great Work!

  8. I think you did a great job as class scribe Thomas, good job explaining what we did in Humanities, great pictures of the classroom, you took really good pictures of the gallery walk. But I think you should add more about what was happening to the black people in the 1900's and how they were treated from everybody else. You should talk about how people were mistreated in the 1900's just because of their color.

  9. I think you did a nice job with those pictures you are really good with cameras. Also you really took picture of specific information you didn't just take a normal picture. You took a picture that showed information and I think your core value would be critical thinker.Because you needed to know what picture you had to take.I think your a good class room scribe.
